About Running Program for Beginners
How It Works
This 8-week program uses a progressive walk-run interval approach based on the proven Couch to 5K methodology. Each phase gradually increases running duration while decreasing walking rest, building both cardiovascular endurance and musculoskeletal strength safely.
How to Follow the Program
Run at a conversational pace - you should be able to speak in full sentences. If you cannot, slow down. Each session includes a 5-minute warm-up walk and 5-minute cool-down walk. Schedule rest days between running days to allow recovery.
Safety First
Consult your healthcare provider before starting any exercise program, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions. Stop immediately if you experience chest pain, severe shortness of breath, dizziness, or joint pain. Start each session with a warm-up and end with a cool-down.
