About Watt Max Test

How It Works

The Watt Max Test involves cycling at maximum effort against a set resistance. Power output is calculated from the workload and duration, normalized to body weight in watts per kg.

How to Interpret Results

Your power-to-weight ratio (W/kg) is compared to age and gender-specific norms. Higher values indicate greater explosive power and anaerobic capacity.

Training Tips

To improve peak power, incorporate sprint intervals, heavy resistance training, plyometrics, and explosive exercises into your training program.

Limitations

This test estimates peak power output. Actual maximal power may vary with test protocol, equipment, and level of familiarization.
