About Pregnancy Calculator
How It Works
Estimated due date (EDD) is calculated using Naegele's rule: add 280 days (40 weeks) to the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP). The calculator also estimates conception date and provides a trimester breakdown.
How to Interpret Results
The due date is an estimate, with only about 5% of babies born exactly on their due date. The trimester breakdown helps track fetal development milestones and prenatal care appointments.
Health Tips
Schedule your first prenatal visit within 8-10 weeks of LMP. Take prenatal vitamins with folic acid before and during pregnancy. Stay active with pregnancy-safe exercise and maintain a balanced diet.
Limitations
Only 5% of deliveries occur on the exact due date. Irregular cycles, recent hormonal contraception use, and inaccurate LMP recall can affect accuracy. Ultrasound dating in the first trimester is more precise.
